REFLECTION - CLIMATEGATE

I have just read about the term climatgate and the release of 13 years worth of emails that may or may not go against global warming. To hear about these email was a little shocking and disturbing. The emails were found by hackers and written about evidence going against global warming by top scientists in the global warming field. We do not know yet if the emails are worth relying on. However, I do feel that the people who wrote these emails should be put on trial. They should be put on trial for manipulating data and for lieing/ or trying to trick the public.

A Major changes in the world in the next 50 years would be the development of the internet. Signs from the past and how since the invention of the internet I can infer that if the internet keeps evolving like it is the internet is going to be a major change. The internet has already become a major change in the world , but it looks like it will keep changing the world as it becomes more and more advanced and enters more of the lifes of people.

My Hershey Vacation

My slideshow is about my vacations that I took a couple summers ago with my two brothers and mom. My vacation was to Hershey, Pennsylvania and I had such a good time. I had such a good time that I wanted to use that experience for my video. My video is filled with pictures that reperesent Hershey and the things I did their plus my favorite parts of the vacation.

My Digital Story Reflection

This project was one of the funnest projects i've ever had to do. Learning how to use new technology is a very interesting thing for me and is something I love to learn. This project was especially fun because everything in it was chosen by me; the topic, the music. the images, the transitions etc;. Being able to chose all the aspects of the project made it one of the easier projects I had to work on this marking period,but it being my first time trying to use programs like imove and iphoto put some difficulty into the project as well. I can't wait to see what my further projects on imovie come to be like because I am sure that they will become increasingly better.

My Funny Storty

One day when i was too little to remember , in grammar school my school was having a day where all the parents come up to the school for a school holiday fair. Both my parents had come up to the school and my class and I were in the hallway and I saw my mom and the back of my dad. I went over to m dad and hugged him only to find out the man I was hugging want my dad but a parent of another child in my class. My parents said I was mortified and crying. I am so happy I don't remember this because it's embarrassing just thinking about it.

Academic experience -This Week In English

In English lately we have been http://http://www.arts.uottawa.ca/writcent/hypergrammar/partsp.htmllearning about the parts of speech. The parts of speech were unclear to me before learning about them and were kind of confusing while learning them, but after studying in and out of class these parts of speech have become very useful. Once I started really knowing the parts of speech I have been trying to use it in my own work and checking if my own grammar is being written the write way. my goal while learning this material was to know it and be able to use and identify the parts of speech. My Second goal was to pass the test given to us with a high mark. It is really nice feeling to accomplish both of my goals and get a 100 on my test.

This current event story is about the second species of fish to be expected to go extinct in China. The first species of fish was named the Baiji, which is a type of fish similar to dolphins. The current fish said to be going extinct is called the Paddle fish. Both the Baiji Fish and the Paddle fish are/were going extinct in the Yangtze River aside China. China is a very crowded place when it comes to population which might have been a factor in the disappearance of fish species. The crowded population could be causing the extinction of this fish by to much fishing, poluting, or on their own the fish might not be reproducing enough. When two Paddle fish were found by scientists one of the females that died had eggs in her stomach so not enough reproducing is a less likely reason for extinciton then polution or to much fishing being done in China.

In the article it states that some people think that it is wrong to wait all the way until a species is almost complelty extinct to do something about it. I agree with this because if more people cared about these populations of animal species dieing out before they were completly extinct ,then maybe a lot more species of animals would still be here and not died out.
